The Opportunity!
At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Workers' Comp and Safety Administrator , you will be expected to manage, administer, and implement workers' compensation and risk management programs as well as safety and loss prevention procedures.
A Day in the Life of a Workers' Comp and Safety Administrator !
You will find yourself:
  • Managing the GICF Workers' Compensation program as the primary contact for incident reporting, interaction with the claims adjuster, selection and authorization of clinics, mediation, and resolution of claims.
  • Determining OSHA recordability for all employee injuries and maintaining OSHA logs.
  • Creating and presenting Workers' Compensation reports for leadership members of GICF.
  • Obtaining relevant data for filing Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Developing and conducting training on the in-house reporting system, camera system, and audit system as needed.
  • Manages return-to-work & modified duty programs in compliance with Florida's Workers' Compensation Laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. BS degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of or claims experience including safety, loss control, and claims management experience for workers compensation, liability and auto claims.
