K. Parks Consulting is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Melbourne, FL

Currently, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant.

Position Description:

This position is full-time and remote

Position Description:

The Administrative Assistant (AA) will work directly with experienced program personnel on various assignments that support Mission Training within a Government agency. The AA will perform a variety of routine and well-defined duties that provide administrative support to other employees and contribute to the program's overall mission. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direction of experienced Government personnel, the candidate will assist with tasks such as:

  • Maintain records and integrity, complete data entry into spreadsheets and databases
  • Assist with the coordination of virtual training events and webinars
  • Utilize a variety of computer software programs to create letters, documents, spreadsheets, tables, charts, and reports
  • Write, review, and distribute time-sensitive documents and e-mails
  • Assist with the dissemination of time-sensitive information via shared file sites and e-mail
  • File documents, organize files into folders/e-folders
  • Edit and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documentation written by leadership to ensure proper grammar and format are used
  • Type, edit, and proofread own correspondence to ensure proper grammar and format are used, and completed assignments contain all pertinent material
  • Provide general information to customers via calls/e-mail and use judgment to determine when to respond to requests without referring to another party 
  • Assist with special work assignments or projects
  • The candidate applies knowledge of and adheres to agency Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and civil rights policies, goals, and objectives in performing duties and responsibilities

Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have at least four (4) years of administrative experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork is an essential quality
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a positive impact
  • Experience working both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to multitask effectively while performing job duties, including the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Proficient computer and software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Perform as a delivery-focused, results-oriented, proactive self-starter
  • Be a collaborative team player with high professional standards and work ethic
  • Ability to join new projects quickly and work effectively with a diverse and dispersed group of people
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications
  • Ability to successfully clear NACI background check
