Compensation and Benefits for the HR Generalist:

Our team loves working in support of helping others live with human dignity, meaning, and relevance. This role also has a competitive starting salary between $60,000 - $70,000 annually.

Requirements for the HR Generalist at Jewish Federation of St. Louis:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years (or more) of experience in Human Resources with 1 years as an HR Generalist required
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience utilizing an HRIS
  • Experience utilizing an ATS
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification Preferred

Responsibilities for the HR Generalist at Jewish Federation of St. Louis:

  • Managing employee relations including answering employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Coaching and developing managers in HR and compliance issues
  • Supporting managers through the performance review process
  • Collaborating and consulting with an outside HR firm when necessary
  • Composing effective written employee communications
  • Establishing, enforcing, and maintaining HR processes and compliance policies
  • Coordinating and conducting new hire orientation including processing all relevant onboarding paperwork including I-9 verification and E-Verify
  • Maintaining accurate employee files both physically and electronically
  • Managing recruitment, interview and selection process, ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Administering company benefits, leave, and timekeeping policies including processing all benefits enrollment
  • Ensuring ACA compliance
  • Coordinating with brokers on enrollment processes
  • Answering questions related to benefits and leave
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
