Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 Salary/year

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Technical Sales Representative (Northern California) is a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer engagement at Jensen Precast. You will develop relationships with engineering firms and public works agencies in order to influence construction standards and specifications that leverage Jensen Precast’s market position.

Reporting to our Technical Sales Manager, you’ll work with the sales, engineering and production teams.

A highlight of your day to day will include:

  • Impacting branch sales by creating favorable opportunities and bid outcomes by providing specifiers with product solutions that favor our competitive advantages.
  • Marketing Jensen Precast product lines to key specifiers consisting of civil, electrical, geotechnical and mechanical engineering firms, select architectural firms, public works agencies, utilities and end-users.
  • Linking target audience with Jensen Precast product solutions by calling on and conducting face-to-face meetings, targeted “brown-bag” technical product presentations, attending trade-events and association meetings, being active in standards committee meetings and establishing routine contact with key specifiers and end-users.
  • Studying and articulating the Jensen Precast product engineering and manufacturing capabilities, quality-control and technical data.
  • Supporting engineers and end-users wanting to specify the Jensen Precast product line through educational events, speaking opportunities and providing detailed preliminary cost estimates.
  • Serving as a respected industry consultant that is regularly called upon by principals and design engineers and assists their staff with specifying and designing around our product lines.
  • Collaborating with Corporate Engineering, Sales, Product Managers, Marketing and Operations staff to execute campaigns, create product specifications, preliminary budget estimates, case studies, and develop marketing collateral in order to advance and develop market opportunities.
  • Managing and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Setting and achieving spec-generated project goals with manager, projected revenue, volume and margin.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You have demonstrated knowledge of technical sales practices and a commitment to customer engagement. You’re a lifelong learner with a combination of formal education (Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or Construction Management with a Construction Document Technologist (CDT) accreditation - preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience including computer programs related to sales and customer service (CRM).
