JDI, Inc. is Hiring a Roofing Account Manager Near Indianapolis, IN

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager who will take on the management of coordinating client projects from detailed work project and moving files onto the next steps. Account management responsibilities include managing claim until the project on time, within budget and within scope to the production teams. Main focus on Residential, secondary focus on Commercial projects. Account managers control the prepping, the cost, and the communication on projects for residential and commercial projects. They plan and prep the clients on what is happening to what is to come within the project and what to expect. They educate clients on options, warranties, upgrades, especially and most importantly helping every client process their financing on every job.

Duties

They go through our process and what we expect and what clients should expect from us. They plan what the work orders state and what needs to be completed. They review and confirm colors with clients on all items we are working on.

Main point of contact for each file assigned

Once reviewed and confirmed with clients, we need to keep clients updated and prepped on what is to come in the future. AM’s are required to make sure that files are prepared and ready to be moved to production team as fast as possible.

Account Manager’s Responsibilities:

  • Entering/maintaining accurate job data real-time
  • Ensure processes to maintain flawless accurate job data
  • Ensure processes to maintain fast turnaround times of all projects always morning job to next step ASAP.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client
  • Select appropriate construction methods and strategies
  • Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to clients
  • Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies
  • Ensure Compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations
  • Account managers work full time. However, the need to meet deadlines and to respond to delays and emergencies often requires long hours. This position will be on call 24/7.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Requirements

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience
  • Professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to portray Company in a positive manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years previous experience in Construction Industry
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel
  • Passing Background check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willingness to travel

WORK ENVIRONMENT& PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The work environment and physical activity described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations and may involve walking on uneven ground of a potential customer construction site. Most of the work is conducted in the office.
