Intrepid College Prep Schools is Hiring a Director of Human Capital Near Nashville, TN

WHO WE ARE

Intrepid College Prep is a network of free, college preparatory public charter schools located in the Antioch area of Greater Nashville, Tennessee. We educate scholars at two campuses: Opportunity Academy Middle School and Independence Academy High School. Our 5-12 model ensures that scholars have the opportunity to engage in a rigorous, college-preparatory education for eight years prior to their transition to college and the professional opportunities that follow. We are an open-enrollment school, which means that our scholars do not have to take an entrance test or pay tuition to enroll.

Responsibilities: 

Recruitment Selection: 

-Proactive searching for strong candidates for current or anticipated open positions

-Resume and phone screening using Intrepid competency based selection process

-Prep all interview materials and the interview panel for final interviews 

-Manage the post-interview operations, including salary approvals, offer letter distribution, candidate inquires, and onboarding 

-Managing the ATS and ensuring timely and accurate data entry 

Total Rewards: 

-Enroll, terminate, and process changes to employee benefits, and serve as a resource to all staff members to address questions and concerns related to benefit options

-Support SD of Human Capital with annual plan analysis renewal process of benefits plans

-Support SD of Human Capital with annual compensation studies audits 

-Support SD of Human Capital with determination of ancillary benefits, including mental health programs, physical health programs, and other perks, as applicable. 

HRIS management: 

-Manage the onboarding process for all employees including new hire paperwork 

-Manage the off boarding processes for both voluntary and involuntary terminations including: offboarding checklists for employees and their managers, exit interviews, exit surveys, unemployment paperwork

-Manage employee records and ensure that they are 100% accurate and up to date at all times through the human resources information system (HRIS) 

-Complete Verification of Employment requests for all current or previous employees 

Certification compliance: 

-Support with direct communication with all current teaching staff who are still pursuing certification to ensure they understand certification deadlines, are taking next steps to complete certification including registering for certification exams, completing study plans, and submitting all certification paperwork.

-Implement and update systems to track, monitor progress, and share data with school and network leaders around the progress staff members are making to pursue their professional licenses

-Connect staff members directly with internal and external resources (financial, educational, etc.) to support efforts in meeting certification requirements

-Generate applicable reports to the district and state regarding certification compliance 

Organizational Policy: 

-Support the SD of Human Capital with employment policy revisions, policy creation, and policy fidelity across the organization

Compensation

We offer a generous compensation package, including full health benefits. All staff members are equipped with the tools needed to succeed, including a dedicated work space, laptop computer, email, high-speed internet access, and all necessary supplies. Compensation is highly competitive; teachers are eligible to participate in the MNPS Retirement System. We are committed to an equitable pay scale. We do not negotiate salaries because of research that demonstrates the resulting impact of inequitable pay, primarily for women and people of color.
