West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates (WHVMA) is now hiring for a full-time Veterinary Customer Service Representative to join our team!
We are a busy and progressive practice located in the heart of the Houston Energy Corridor. WHVMA provides compassionate veterinary medical, surgical, and dental care to our patients. Our doctors, nursing and technical staff practice the highest standard of veterinary medicine in a friendly and caring environment. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our patients by educating our clients about our Free Vaccines and Healthy Pets for Life Program.
Key Responsibilities
West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates is looking for a motivated, articulate, enthusiastic "people person" who pays attention to details, enjoys interacting with a wide variety of clients and their pets, can handle a fast paced environment, and takes pride in a job well done. The ideal candidate will deliver a professional and qualified first impression to all visitors. This person has excellent communication and customer service skills. He/she has a basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures/systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Guest services - Welcome guests, employees, and clients who arrive at the office and clarify the purpose of their visit and who they want to see. Answer all phone calls and emails sent to the main office and provide inter-office messages as requested. Educate clients on our Free Vaccines and Healthy Pets for Life Program.
  • Administration - Follow up on all patient reminders. Obtain medical history for appointments. Send out and receive email, documents, supplies, and packages. Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, organized and welcoming.
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our clinic by always treating clients in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Avimark Experience a plus.
  • Reliable, professional, courteous, and patient.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
