General Summary

It is the responsibility of the Parking Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional services to customers of the Parking Operations and of IAA. Uses independent judgment in resolving conflicts with Parking Operations and provides information to the traveling public. Works as a direct report to the GTC Manager but also will take directives from Parking Supervisors. 

Essential Functions
  • Assist customers with locating lost vehicles, jump starts, pushing cars, secure fuel, de-ice frozen locks, recover lost items, customer lot relocation, removing snow from around customer vehicle and provide information for securing towing services when needed
  • Provide assistance service at point of demand to passengers and the public concerning hotel accommodations, convention activities, parking, flight information, IAA amenities, and ground transportation service availability
  • Monitor all ticketing and revenue equipment, assist customers entering and exiting the facilities, that may include retrieving stuck credit cards, FPP cards and stuck tickets
  • Coordinate and set priorities concerning consumer and commercial vehicle utilizing parking facilities and IAA assigned zones in the ground transportation center
  • Monitor parking facilities by patrolling and being visually aware and reporting any unusual activity or security situations to the Airport Police Department, including checking on car alarms and reporting it to the supervisor on duty
  • Conduct off-premises IAA parking department business providing transportation services for employees for the department as directed and deemed reasonable by the supervisor
  • Observe and report security violations, unusual situations, hazardous conditions and traffic congestion problems to supervisor on duty
  • Handle complaints in a responsive, respectful manner reporting any complicated or unresolved issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Assist with parking facilities snow removal, trash pickup, clearing ice, lost bag check, fueling parking department vehicles, participating in the wash of parking facility vehicles
  • Ensure IAA PCS Shuttle Vans are vacuumed, properly maintained and fueled weekly
  • Provide daily car counts in the terminal garage and lots when necessary
  • Assist with the organization of storage room at the PARCS Building and Booth 8 when necessary
  • Pick up and deliver postal and interoffice mail
  • Projects a friendly image of the airport
  • Maintains documentation of all activities performed during daily shift
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or combination of experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in customer service dealing with the general public
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record is a must
  • Ability to effectively communicate, listen, and comprehend instructions whether written or verbal
  • Excellent public relations and customer service skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and comprehend English, both orally and in written format
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this job without creating a direct threat to the safety of oneself or others

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to walk, sit, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, balance, stop, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more. The ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed. Specific vision abilities required by the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Use of a computer and other personal assistance devices (tablets or mobile phone) are a must for this position.
  • Work Environment: This position is performed within an assigned vehicle at least 70% of the time. The other 30% the employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. With multiple worksites the noise level varies depending upon the environment. The incumbent in this position is expected to work independently and as part of the team.
