Imagine Monroe/Monroe County Industrial Corp. is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Rochester, NY

Overview:
The role of the Administrative Assistant position is to provide professional support to the Program Director of the Monroe County Finger Lakes (MCFL) APEX Accelerator. The employee reports directly to and works under the sole supervision of the Program Director in attending to the administrative details of the position.

Duties:

  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Basic Bookkeeping knowledge
  • Booking rooms and conference facilities
  • Booking travel arrangements
  • Developing and maintaining a filing system
  • Entering data / Maintaining contact lists
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Organizes projects and special activities and events
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Producing and distributing correspondence
  • Providing general support to Program Director
  • Providing information by answering questions and requests
  • Researching and creating presentations
  • Submitting and reconciling expense reports

Required Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional experience, OR, Three (3) years office clerical/secretarial experience
  • Associates (required) or bachelors (preferred) degree
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of account keeping
  • Ability to draft routine correspondence
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the able to multi-task and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately
  • Experience in event planning is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Program Director of MCFL APEX Accelerator
