Humane Society of Missouri is Hiring an Accountant Near St. Louis, MO
The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting and Finance team as an Accountant. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of our organization while supporting our mission to promote the welfare of animals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable
- Count and reconcile weekly cashbox deposit
- Import, balance and post activity from the Raiser's Edge system for contributions
- Import, balance and post activity from the Chameleon system for the adoption centers
- Import, balance and post activity from the eVet system for the AMCMA veterinary clinics
- Assist in month end reconciliations for bank accounts and various general ledger accounts
- Assist in various analysis and projects as assigned
- Manage the collection of account distribution for the HSMO VISA program, including the collection of statements & receipts for scanning and filing
- Help the team back up our purchasing specialist/warehouse coordinator when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Associate's degree with at least 2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
- Knowledge of ADP payroll is a plus
