We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our Trim Carpentry division. The successful candidate must have construction experience who will oversee all aspects of operations, from production planning and resource allocation to quality control and team management.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize division performance, streamline operations, and achieve organizational objectives.
2. Oversee the production process, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
3. Implement quality control measures to ensure that all trim work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
4. Manage division budgets, including forecasting, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures to maximize profitability.
5. Provide strong leadership to the Trim Division team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development initiatives.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the division to enhance efficiency and productivity.
9. Collaborate with the sales and client management teams to understand client requirements and provide exceptional service and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Carpentry, Construction Management, or related field.
The ability to read, understand and interpret financial statements.
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in carpentry operations management, with a focus on trim work.
Proven record of accomplishment of successfully leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Project Management software (Hyphen Solutions – SupplyPro), Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office Suite. Sage Contractor 100 experience is a plus.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
