Job DescriptionRock ' Em Socks is the World's Largest Sock Store, with designs created and produced daily in Orlando, Florida. With over 10,000 designs to choose from, there's a "Sock for Every Story". Rock 'Em cut through the industry to turn a long-forgotten item of your wardrobe into a bold statement on your feet.

Our reputation as a Brandufacturer (hybrid sock brand & manufacturer) has given us the opportunity to work with world-class partners in sports and entertainment our partners. Rock ‘Em is the official go-to sock brand for the some of the best names in the business - Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Universal Studios, NFL, NBA and many more.
We're looking to expand our in-house manufacturing capabilities, working towards the constant goal of improving our production, shipping and fulfillment times. Join a fast paced and energetic environment with a culture as innovative and enjoyable as the products we make.
Position Summary:This role will be responsible for developing and managing our daily manufacturing operations in order to reach increased demand through increased capacity and efficiency. This will include pre-operational responsibilities and preparation such as developing a training program, forecasting demand & related output metrics and building out scheduling across multiple shifts. Operational responsibilities include developing and managing our labor force, monitoring and increasing productivity and facilities maintenance and floor flow.
Success in this role will be determined by executing a data-driven, measure-to-manage approach in order to balance quality, cost, accuracy, efficiency and speed of manufacturing and fulfillment. We are looking to significantly increase our output - key metrics we will measure against will be shipping lead times, production efficiency, labor hour optimization and capacity expansion relative to 2023 actuals and 2024 forecasts.
Pre-Operational - Training
  • Development of training programs and processes per key roles
  • Documentation of training programs through written and visual mediums
  • Creation of actionable training plan with milestones and knowledge verification
  • Selection, development and management of trainers
Pre-Operational - Forecasting
  • Daily production numbers beginning with Q4 2024
  • Daily supplies needed
  • Daily human capital needs
  • Assist in the development of forecasting software and management of actual forecasts
Pre-Operational - Scheduling
  • Building out production scheduling across 3 shifts
  • Account for % of call outs / no-shows / labor send-homes
  • Development of full time and part time positions, hours, and ability to swap shifts
  • Evaluate, implement and manage scheduling software to layer into operations
Operational - Human Resources
  • Develop and manage relationships with temporary labor agencies
  • Develop higher level area leads per shift
  • Fill roles daily with temporary labor teammates
  • Evaluate temporary labor teammate talent, positional fit and productivity
  • Coordinate with area leads for their needs
  • Develop and implement occurrence system and consequences for labor force
Operational - Productivity
  • Communicate, measure, and increase pace for each production area
  • Constantly check in with area leads and product to ensure quality
  • Ensure teammates are on-task
  • Enforcement of rules and consequences
  • Develop processes and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement on the floor
Operational - Facility Maintenance
  • Overall Cleanliness of facility and individual production areas
  • Grade Area leads on their team’s organization
  • Scheduling of labor to load/unload container shipments
  • Execution of optimal storage in finished goods inventory and blank inventory
  • Manage layout / floor plan of storage racks
  • Oversee facility vendors and related projects (lights, trash etc)
  • Oversee waste management on micro level (trash bins, recycling) and macro level (trash containers, recycling bales)
  • Oversee cardboard waste management
  • Oversee facility supply needs, purchases, arrivals and distributions
Required Skills:
  • Bi-lingual: must be able to fluently speak English and Spanish

Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant experience in retail operations and fulfillment
  • Expertise in both e-commerce fulfillment and print-on-demand operations
  • Experience in 3PL Management and Negotiations
  • Strategic thinking and a growth mindset; the ability to “think big”
  • Strong accountability for results and metrics
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, to relay capacity and project status to leadership and sync supply and demand
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excitement for a start-up environment and building from the ground up
