Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is Hiring a LOMOD Administrative Assistant Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:
This position reports directly to the Department Supervisor and indirectly to the Department Manager. This position is non-supervisory and with no direct reports. This position provides support in performing day-to-day tasks. Provide administrative support for Contracts, Compliance, and Voucher departments. Enters and processes data into various automated software systems.
Essential Functions:
  • Clerical/Administrative duties including but not limited to: Filing, making copies, processing mail, answering phones, preparing and mailing or emailing correspondence to owners/agents and Housing of Urban Development (HUD);
  • Conduct intake and log all owner submissions received electronically or via hard copy;
  • Maintain, input and log every step of each process with accuracy;
  • Enter data into the appropriate HUD data systems;
  • Scan and preserve documentation in an online filing system;
  • Ability to work under pressure of strict time frames and deadlines, as daily tasks can have financial repercussions;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills;
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products including of a variety of data processing and spreadsheet software as well as web browsers;
  • Experience with general office machines (multiple line telephone system, adding machine, keyboard (40 wpm), fax and copy machines);
  • Ability to accomplish multiple and stringent daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines even under significantly stressful situations;
  • Successful at multitasking and time management to a high degree;
  • Ability to work effectively when faced with frequent interruptions.
Minimum Qualification:
Associates degree or a minimum of two years administrative support experience in public service or support expansion. In addition, a basic knowledge of English composition, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics. 
Special Requirements: Must possess a valid Class C California Driver's license.
