Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our team who will serve as an assistant to the Finance Director. As accountant, you will be responsible for following financial transaction procedures, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, and assisting the director in ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of center budgets and providing requested information to Director of Finance and Administration
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, interest fund and petty cash procedures
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues
- Assists with payroll oversight
Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Education: High School Diploma or GED and one year related experience and or training, and Associates Degree in accounting preferred.
