Hibbett Sports/City Gear is Hiring a HRIS Analyst Near Birmingham, AL

SUMMARY

The Analyst, HRIS is responsible for gathering internal and external data to create recurring and ad hoc reports and analyses to assess human resources needs and trends as well as compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Hibbett | City Gear’s internal policies, procedures, and guidelines. The position assists several areas within human resources in responding to data requests from governmental agencies, consultants, and various departments within Hibbett | City Gear to support the needs of the business. The Analyst, HRIS supports multiple functional areas within human resources including, but not limited to, compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations, human capital management systems, employee benefits, and human resources compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare ad hoc queries and analyses as well as recurring reports and metrics to assess human resources performance and trends. Calculate and track key performance indicators and metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually, including turnover rate, retention rate, promotion rate, applicant volume, new hire turnover, time to fill, etc.
  • Complete data submissions to compensation, benefits, and other human resources surveys and information requests.
  • Prepare data submissions and analyses in response to federal, state, and local governmental agency requests.
  • Act as a resource to the human resources department and other areas in the creation and interpretation of data requests, reports, and analyses. Act as the point of contact for other departments for the collection of data and conducting analysis in the human resource department.
  • Manage smaller projects as needed related to compensation and people analytics, including communicating and coordinating with other departments to gather information and presenting project overviews to senior leadership as needed.
  • Assist with any human resources projects as needed, including providing data or analysis.
  • Consistently look for ways to use predictive analytics, statistics, and new technical tools to grow human resource’s capability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Participate in HRIS-related projects, such as system upgrades or new tenant implementation.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team and IT to maintain Workday efficiencies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues in Workday system.
  • Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of generally accepted Human Capital financial principles including but not limited to HR analytics. Statistical analysis and testing knowledge.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
