Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing accounting and clerical duties essential for the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
* * This position provides a flexible remote/hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of in-office work once a week at our headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Input, upload, and post invoices into the system
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Verify that all payment requests have necessary approvals and supporting documentation
• Identify and address any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
• Prepare invoices for payment
• Organize and execute check runs
• Compile supporting documentation for audits
• Communicate with vendors and field staff, addressing inquiries
• Support management with miscellaneous projects
• Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
• One to two years of general accounting or accounts payable experience required.
• Proficiency in using accounts payable or procurement software; knowledge of Coupa is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Majority (90%) of work is conducted indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
