Role Summary: 

The Accounts Payable Specialist role includes exposure to and responsibility for a variety of functions including transaction processing, process improvement, cost allocations and financial reporting. Responsible for supervising AP and providing support to the Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant and Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant with career advancement potential organically and through acquiring additional testing sites. 

What you’ll do:

• Manage the accounts payable cycle in ledger and other programs
• Provide accurate mapping of vendor invoices in the ledger
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Review vendors and properly account for service provider agreements and forms
• Track, file, and pay sales and use tax for various locations
• Monitor rents, property taxes, and various government and state filings
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices and packing slips 
• Maintain 1099 vendor files
• Ensure vendor credits are properly applied
• Effectively communicate with vendors regarding billing questions and payments
• Analyze accounts and initiate payment planning and processing
• Participate in AP automation implementation
• Assist with auditor requests during our annual audit

What you have: 

• Associate degree preferred in Accounting.
• At least fives years of related experience. 
• Detail-orientation
• Demonstrated understanding of the Accounts Payable workflow process and how it affects the general ledger
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Excellent Analytical and Critical thinker
• Deadline oriented
• Problem solver
• Net Suite experience preferred; similar ERP system experience needed
• Intermediate Excel experience preferred
• Hybrid work model with 4 days/week on-site
