Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding, approvals, and appropriate documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks and ACH transactions.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and take necessary actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, both electronically and in hard copy format, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies courteously and professionally.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
