CHICAGO: Green Office Partner is hiring a highly skilled Chicago-based Technical Specialist as part of our growing nationwide Installation Team! Green Office Partner specializes in the service and support of Imaging and Document Management Solutions.

In this position, it will be your responsibility to successfully complete the installation of technology devices and software solutions in our client locations and places of business.
Our Installation Technician Specialists work with highly technical equipment and must follow strict guidelines when installing different types of systems to ensure efficient operation. While specific requirements may vary, Technical Specialist candidates should have the following prerequisite skills and qualifications.
The ability to complete the physical installation and configuration of Imaging and Document Management Solutions which include but are not limited to:
Preparation and staging of hardware at client location(s)
Initial power-up, testing and configuration of hardware to ensure proper operation and installation of add-on components
Physical placement of hardware devices within the client location(s) - candidate must be capable of lifting at least 75lbs.
Installation of software components as needed
Perform Preventative Maintenance visits at client location(s) to ensure proper operation of devices
Completion of all required installation, configuration and preventive maintenance e-paperwork
Travel within the Greater Chicago Metropolitan area is regularly required. Periodic travel outside of the Greater Chicago Metropolitan area may be required on an as needed basis
Valid driver's license and a clean driving history
The right candidate for this position should have these qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Technology, Business, etc.) and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on technical installation and configuration experience
Hands-on experience with IT networking, including a firm grasp of IP networking and common IT protocols (SMB, FTP, SNMP, SMTP)
Ability to think "out-of-the box" to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service
Establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships
Effective time and resource management skills
Demonstrates proficiency in identifying complex problems in a way that others can understand… a problem solver!
