G&W Equipment is Hiring an Accounts Payable Manager Near Charlotte, NC
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage AP team, including hiring, training, developing, and directing their work.
Coordinate all activities in the accounts payable department, including, but not limited to, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, project management, maintaining accurate records and control reports, and Form 1099 preparations.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Recommend and implement enhancements and projects to automate the Accounts Payable area to better meet the needs of our growing organization and develop efficient processes for distributing payments.
Organize month-end closing process for the AP area with accounting team; including company credit card reconciliation.
Provide accounting assistance to operations staff; respond to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
Oversee the management of financial data and procedures related to expenses generated by the company, including processing of ACH, wires, invoices, credit card payments, and cutting of checks.
Act as a liaison between the company, government, and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure records are maintained for historical purposes.
Work with Controller to anticipate accounts payable cash disbursements needs and communicate with President and Vice President on check runs; implements cash management best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Five or more years of accounting experience, with 3 or more years of leadership experience.
Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.
ACH Banking / Cash Management and sales and use tax experience required.
Must have strong computer and business solutions software skills with ERP and AP system experience with implementation background. Microsoft Dynamics and TrinDocs AP experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to plan and organize to balance and prioritize work for self and team.
