We are Subway Headquarters! A dedicated team of professionals supporting thousands of franchisees around the globe.

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing catering sales in their assigned trade area through the development and execution of sales plans that meet business objectives. The position is required to contribute to the overall catering success of the off-premises business. The position will work closely with Field Operations and Franchisees to promote and develop various catering sales projects. Additionally, this individual must be knowledgeable on all products, to educate guests on catering and meet our standards of quality and excellence. With success as the goal, this individual will strive to promote, build client relationships, and secure sales.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and drive the catering category across B2C and B2B channels
  • Maintain current and detailed working knowledge of the Subway catering program, including menus, packaging, pricing tiers, sales channels, and related franchisee-facing technology platforms
  • Develops new accounts, maintains existing accounts, and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Generate sales opportunities through lead follow-up and unsolicited calls, emails, or site-visits
  • Develop and maintain awareness of key competitor catering offerings within trade area
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the franchisee when appropriate
  • Provide ongoing training, and support catering best practices for restaurants within trade area
  • Recommend enhancements and changes to current products and programs based on observed trends that could impact sales and profits
  • Develop local sales plans to ensure catering growth
  • Promote ongoing communication of catering sales related projects and initiatives to Franchisees
  • Present weekly lead reporting, scheduled appointments and sales tracking
  • Schedule and host client meetings or sponsored luncheons
  • Travel as needed between home office, restaurants, and potential catering sales locations
  • Builds positive relationships with guests, neighboring businesses, corporate, and Team Members.
  • Enter, manage, and route catering orders to appropriate restaurants
  • Maintain excellent communication and rapport with restaurants in assigned markets
  • Follow-up with guests post-order and assist with restaurant coaching and feedback
  • Knowledgeable on products and preparation

Skills and Abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of catering within the food & beverage service industry, restaurant operations
  • 3-5 years off-premises sales/catering sales experience
  • Ability to travel as needed (overnight travel is occasional/not common)
  • Research Skills: Utilize a variety of resources to complete a research assignment and be able to summarize and present your findings
  • Delivery promotional development: Navigate and anticipate variables that come with every project through broad knowledge of catering
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.
