Overview

This is a HYBRID role located at our office in Midtown Manhattan (NYC) with a minimum of two days in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Investor Relations! This position provides support to all facets of Foot Locker investor relations activities, including sell-side conferences, non-deal road shows, and investor meetings and calls. You will report to the Senior Director, Investor Relations and will have direct exposure and interaction with senior executives (from CEO down). You are expected to learn and be able to effectively communicate the company’s strategy, business model, financial outlook, and industry positioning, as well as the positioning of certain peers, customers, and competitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and analytical support to the investor relations team and support all "ad hoc" analyses in support of the IR (Investor Relations) function
• Assist the Sr. Director with communications between the Company and the investment community, particularly sell-side equity analysts and investors
• Assist in the planning, preparation, drafting and distribution of IR-related documents, including earnings and other material press releases, investor presentations, Q&A documents, talking points/scripts, quarterly and annual reports, and conference & Investor Day materials
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Company by partnering with various functional areas within finance (Accounting, FP&A) and division staff to understand drivers of financial performance and to understand the company's strategy, businesses, and competitive position
• Manage the corporate press release process, including posting releases to wire services and other related/appropriate sites
• Manage the Investor Relations calendar, including setting up investor and analyst calls, earnings conference calls, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and on-site meetings
• Create, update, and maintain IR contact lists and database
• Generate reports on shareholder ownership analyses to present to upper management
• Monitor, assess, and update senior leaders on relevant data impacting company, peers, and industry
  • This includes analysis of peer earnings, relevant government data impacting the consumer space, and additional media or analyst reports
• Track consensus estimates and understand drivers behind key P&L lines (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.)
• Set up earnings (and other material) conference calls and web-casts
• Assist in the coordination of investor/analyst meetings, Investor Day, and investor conference participation
• Assist in preparation and dissemination of materials for Board of Directors
• Manage IR sub-domain of Foot Locker’s corporate website, including the creation and updating of content appropriate for the IR sub-domain
• Manage IR mailbox and respond to investor inquiries and requests for information, as appropriate and directed by the Sr. Director, IR
• Act as liaison between Investor Relations, proxy solicitor, and legal department during proxy season
• Manage all aspects of IR vendor relationships
• Prepare and monitor IR’s budget, including forecasting of IR-related expenditures
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal associates, including Corporate Communications, Legal, Accounting, Corporate Development, Strategy and other key operating contacts, and external stakeholders, including investor relations vendors

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or other related fields
  • At least three years experience within investor relations, equity-research, investment banking or related fields preferred
  • Strong finance background, solid understanding of finance and financial statements
  • Analytical and experience in performing analyses on financial and competitive data
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral, with poise to interact regularly with senior executives, investors, and sell-side equity analysts
• Experience in retail preferred
• High attention to detail
• Ability to drive multiple, simultaneous projects to successful completion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Ability to work within tight time-frames and meet strict deadlines
• Basic knowledge of SEC, NYSE, and other regulatory agency requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and ability to learn multiple software applications (i.e., Factset)

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000 - $117000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
