Evans Consulting is Hiring a Strategic Communications Analyst Near Washington, DC

Description

Location Details: This role is hybrid with up to 1 day on-site/month.

Evans is hiring a Strategic Communications Analyst resource to join their growing team in one of their contracts in Washington DC. You will perform support functions that assist in executing strategic communications and supporting client program needs. We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven success in providing stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and re-structuring of technical information to be consumed by a broad non-technical audience. 

  • Providing program support for short- and long-term planning initiatives, strategic communications, and storytelling. 
  • Executing collaborative facilitation, organizational support/best practices, knowledge management, and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Communications support includes the planning, drafting/writing, and moderating of management meetings.
  • Dissemination of team feedback forms to collect timely questions and comments. 
  • Writing of communications to executive level leadership and stakeholders.
  • Compile technical information into digestible content for stakeholders and end-users.
  • Development and tracking of executive level notes, minutes, briefings, and artifacts. 
  • Strategic advisory role to include cultivating a strong partnership with the Program Manager. 
  • Acting as a provided and trusted tactical resource to support the implementation of leadership direction, decisions made, feedback received, and actions tracked/taken/completed.
  • Program management support includes drafting executive briefings, facilitating, note taking, and action tracking.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of hands-on professional experience, preferably in a strategic communications complex. 
  • A BA/BS in any discipline is required. A Masters’ degree in any field (e.g., MS, MA, MBA) counts for three years additional experience. 
  • Experience in project management, change management, leadership development, and/or program support. 
  • Experience facilitating meetings with varying numbers of participants. 
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to understand both meaning and intent of writing to develop appropriate response strategies to both elements. 
  • Ability to work with little supervision and to support FAA management, including executive levels. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. 
  • Prior FAA or DOT experience is required.
