M9 Solutions is seeking aStrategic Communications Specialist to workhybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located inWashington, DC.An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to develop strategic communications plans that engage and inform the workforce and key stakeholders.
  • Promote the identification and use of third-party voices to support client communications and mission goals.
  • Draft talking points, memos, announcements, newsletters, and annual reports.
  • Assimilate inputs from key stakeholders and translate complex ideas and issues into clear and compelling messages.
  • Understand the key stakeholder's potential to engage with others within the client or other organizations.
  • Prepare executive level-briefing materials such as memos, papers, presentations etc. for clients to brief other senior leadership.
  • Host quarterly town halls to facilitate open and transparent communication channels between senior leadership and employees.
  • Host client offsites to bring together leaders and key decision makers in a different setting, to discuss and plan strategic initiatives, align on goals, strengthen team dynamics, and drive organizational growth.
  • Design and conduct surveys to gather valuable information from leadership and/or the workforce.
  • Use graphic tools to create template illustrations for branding and marketing purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of, and experience in strategic communications.
  • Proven success in developing and executing communications strategies and plans for clients with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment, with an eye on collaboration and integration, across all levels of the organization.
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities with the ability to manage multiple and complex priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups from technical subject matter experts to senior executives.
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable format and tailored to specific audiences.
  • Capable of working well under pressure and managing multiple high-profile assignments in an intense fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise well-written narrative.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with and brief senior leaders.
  • Strong listening and persuasive communication skills with the ability to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and experience in the intelligence community, information technology, and intelligence/analysis.
  • Experience with the Canva graphics tool, and with Microsoft Teams live.

Full-Time Employee Compensation

  • M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
