ESA Management is Hiring a Manager, Compensation Near Charlotte, NC

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
To manage the Compensation function within the Total Rewards department. The position is responsible for documenting, administering, and implementing the compensation framework and programs for the organization, and managing and maintaining compensation related data in the HRIS system and other relevant platforms.
MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
  • Document and monitor the Company's compensation policies to include all market wages, starting wages, bonus plans, incentives, commissions, and long-term incentive plans. Monitors and reviews the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans as needed to be cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and business needs.
  • Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed processes and/or wages, Compensation programs, including participating in the planning and administration of frontline commission and incentive plans throughout the year, modeling costing for bonus/commission payouts, and managing ongoing administration and monthly calculation processes.
  • Communicate salary and bonus programs throughout the organization and assist Management with compensation related issues.
  • Provides advice to corporate leaders on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
  • Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) including the processing, recording, and reporting of compensation-related actions.
  • Participates in both exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure company's compensation plans are competitive and that company objectives are achieved. Manage compensation projects such as survey participation and analysis of data.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data. Maintains compensation data in HRIS and other systems as needed.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR Managers to educate Managers.
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure Company compliance.
  • Develops compensation plan training materials and presentations.
Requirements:

  • Ability to operate individually and employ solid decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, externally and internally.
  • Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in compensation, including building grade and range structures and incentive plan design.
  • Experience with working in compensation modules of HR systems.
  • Proficient in reporting applications and Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with implementing compensation related software and workflows.
  • CCP certification
  • ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Less than 10% of travel required.
