The Role:

Join our Houston-based finance team as an Accounting Clerk, performing routine clerical duties with accuracy and timeliness. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable, assisting in month-end close, and maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information. Embrace continuous growth by cross-training in various accounting areas within our dynamic office operations.

What You'll Do:

• Onboard vendors in Bill.com and QBO with complete W9 form and 1099 setup.
• Process AP invoices – verify secure approval, complete documentation, accurate coding, and timely recording of vendor invoices in the appropriate period. 
• Verify and post business transaction feeds from other systems to QBO using SaasAnt.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Office operations – set up access key for new employees, order supplies and snacks, check mail daily, and other tasks as needed.

You Should Have:

• Natural proficiency with math.
• Some knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and deadline oriented.
• Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or an associate degree in finance or accounting, preferred.
• One or two years of experience in AP and or clerical accounting.
