The Ednetics Account Manager’s responsibilities center on developing long-term relationships with a set of new and existing customers while identifying and developing sales opportunities. Account Managers act as the liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. They must maintain a strong understanding of our product portfolio, services and business practices to effectively guide customers through the full sales cycle and create a trusted-advisor relationship. Additionally, Account Managers will work closely with and build collaborative relationships with manufacturer partner sales reps. A wide degree of creativity and latitude in job responsibilities is expected.


The Account Manager I role is the starting position for sales personnel coming into Ednetics Account Management from Inside Sales, Sales Support, or unrelated sales background.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities in new and existing accounts.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist customers through in person meetings, e-mail and phone contact.
  • Develop product and services knowledge to answer customer questions.
  • Create and maintain sales forecasts as well as other key account metrics.
  • Coordinate, write and delivery quotes, RFP responses, and other customer facing documents.
  • Coordinate with other departments for various sales support needs.
  • Team with manufacturer partner sales reps to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Be present in-office. Potential for flexible remote work up to 40% of the position’s schedule.

Technical Requirements

  • Familiarity with Cisco Systems products and other Ednetics portfolio preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM systems strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Visio a benefit.


Education and Experience

  • Three or more years of sales experience required.
  • Relevant experience in IT industry strongly desired.
  • Experience in K-12, higher education, state and local government technology environments desired.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations 

  • Cisco, HPE, or other industry certifications desired.
  • Completion of additional industry sales certifications expected as part of job responsibilities.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Not applicable to this position.


Travel

  • Regional travel at 30-50% overall is expected.
