Eastridge Workforce Solutions is looking for a qualified Sr. Staff Accountant with a firm knowledge of accounting principles, particularly strong with bank reconciliations, and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The most successful people will have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, payroll processing and other financial transaction within an organization. As a Sr. Staff Accountant you will prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. You will also record information such as accrual, deferral, reclass, and interdepartmental entries into the company's accounting ledger and prepare journal entries related to amortization, depreciation, accruals, and a variety of other information. For immediate consideration, apply today.

Sr. Staff Accountant Responsibilities: 

• Perform general A/R, A/P, and GL related functions. 
• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. 
• Follow our company’s established accounting processes. 
• Support Accounts Payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry. 
• Prepare payments by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, requesting disbursements, and reconciling accounts. 
• Record and process commission payments. 
• Record customer payments and transactions. 
• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.
• Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions. 
• Assist with the month-end close process. 
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, analysis, and reporting.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications/Skills: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. 
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. 
• Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. 
• Proficient with QuickBooks. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required. 
• 6 years of related experience required. 
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting/finance applications. 
• Particular strength in conducting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Must have prior experience in conducting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
