• Assist in the establishment, or recommends to management, accounting procedures, objectives, and policies 
• Assist with the direction and preparation of budgets
• Maintains the computer reference files and administrative functions
• Approves disbursement expenditures and general ledger coding
• Sign disbursement checks in the absence of the CFO, and release all banking ACHs and wire transfers
• Maintains and advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
• Maintains the fixed asset information and proper depreciation rate and equipment book balances
• Reconcile/Review all balance sheet accounts for potential liabilities
• Reconcile monthly bank statements, and cash flow position
• Coordinates annual audit of company accounts and statements
• Performs all routine and non-routine adjusting entries necessary for producing financial statements
• Prepare and distribute accurate/timely monthly financial statements
• Prepare required federal and state government reports for CFO or CEO signature
• Oversee the accuracy of the payroll 
• Ensure that eligible employees are included in all benefits
• Administer the 401K plan according to California Law
• Prepare the necessary contribution files for online 401K contributions and make the necessary general ledger entries.
• Prepare financial and eligibility reports for 401K Plan Administrator, as well as necessary distribution/rollover documents

Requirements

• Accounting degree, CPA or equivalent
• Proven analytical abilities, computer-literate with strong spreadsheet skills
