Department Of Parks & Recreation is Hiring an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE Near Sacramento, CA

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE- IT DIVISION / HQ
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters in Sacramento, CA.
This position will work under the general supervision of the Privacy Officer.
The Information Technology Associate serves as the Compliance & Policy Analyst ensuring progress is made on Privacy Program and Information Security milestones for the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) 280 locations. This position administers program compliance and remediation efforts with a focus on developing technical documentation.The Compliance and Policy Analyst will work closely with other staff in the Information Security and Privacy Office, IT Services Division, and other stakeholders to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Department’s information assets. The incumbent works on the development, oversight, administration, and technical documentation for the Department’s Information Security & Privacy Office. Duties include developing policies, procedures, standards, business processes, safeguards, and initiatives aligned with the State Administrative Manual (SAM), State Information Management Manual (SIMM), and the National Institute of Technology (NIST) to enforce the Department and State of California's policies.The Compliance & Policy Analyst works with DPR technical staff and contractors on the development of remediation plans to achieve compliance milestones. The incumbent will coordinate and document remediation efforts in response to audit and assessment findings. The Compliance & Privacy Policy Analyst provides backup support for data classification efforts ensuring appropriate labeling according to privacy and security policies and regulatory requirements to ensure data governance and compliance.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
