About the Job:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to spearhead our sales strategy and execution with a focus on the cryptocurrency mining sector. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing clients looking to host their cryptocurrency mining equipment within our data centers. Your expertise will not only be pivotal in selling data center capacity, but also in engaging with investors for profit-sharing opportunities in the cryptocurrency mining space. As our business evolves, you will also have the opportunity to explore new markets, including clients requiring hosting for AI applications. Your strategic approach, leadership, and sales acumen will drive our growth and position us as a leader in the data center industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in order to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with clients and investors in the cryptocurrency (and AI) sectors.
  • Lead sales campaigns, outlining clear objectives, strategies, and action plans to approach and secure key accounts.
  • Market Expansion:
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market, identifying potential clients and investors interested in hosting and profit-share arrangements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions in order to adapt sales strategies accordingly and to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Investor Relations:
  • Engage with potential investors to present profit-sharing models and investment opportunities in cryptocurrency mining ventures within our data centers.
  • Develop informative and persuasive investment materials and proposals to facilitate decision-making by potential investors.
  • Client Acquisition and Retention:
  • Identify and reach out to prospective clients to offer hosting solutions for cryptocurrency mining operations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and materials that resonate with the cryptocurrency and AI hosting markets.
  • Team Development:
  • Attract, hire, and retain top sales talent, providing them with the leadership and coaching necessary to meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Financial Planning and Strategy:
  • Work with the executive team to establish pricing policies and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements to ensure peak sales performance.
  • Long-Term Business Development:
  • As the business model develops, initiate strategic discussions around expanding the hosting services to AI applications, preparing the groundwork for future market segments.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Sales Leadership: Proven track record of successful sales leadership in the technology sector, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including 3 years in an executive sales position.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency mining industry and related technologies, as well as a vision for the integration of AI hosting solutions.
  • Strategic Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Investor Engagement: Experience in engaging with investors and a strong understanding of investment models in the tech and cryptocurrency sectors.
  • Networking Abilities: Extensive network of contacts in the cryptocurrency mining and AI sectors, with the ability to leverage relationships for business success.
  • Team Building: Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close and to build a high-performing sales team.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to create and interpret sales performance metrics.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Agile in adapting to evolving markets and capable of pivoting strategies to capture emerging opportunities.

  • Remote or In-Office: This is a hybrid role which requires applicants to be available to work from our Miami, FL office when needed. Circumstances such as investor meetings, team building events, and more may require attendance in office for a few weeks at a time.
