A successful and growing estate planning law firm located in Plano, TX seeking a Business Development Attorney. The Business Development Attorney is responsible for accelerating new business growth for the firm by providing prospect-centered consultations, conducting community education outreach events, maintaining vibrant professional network(s), and implementing strategic marketing plans as detailed by the firm’s marketing staff and leadership.

The Business Development Attorney will report directly to the firm’s Managing Partner and will work closely with the firm’s marketing and operations departments.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

70% Business Development and Sales

• Memorize and deliver an approximately 1-hour and 15-minute seminar speech on estate planning topics at least eight times per month (approximately 4 evenings a month)
• Administer the firm’s proven successful and strategic revenue generating business development efforts
• Collaborate, communicate, and support the managing partner and other firm departments in the implementation of business development goals

20% Estate Planning Legal Work

• Drafting and preparing appropriate estate planning documents including wills, trusts, business planning documents, etc. to meet client needs
• Schedule and host meetings with clients and prospective clients for various service offerings

10% Administrative Work

• Help to manage the firm’s lead pipeline and client care

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school as well as membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
• 2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or similar revenue growth position

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
• Supplemental pay types:
• Commission Pay
• Variable Compensation
