Cordia is partnered with a premier housing non-profit who is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) professional to join on of their team for a temporary assignment of 2-3 months.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Duration: 2-3 months
Location: Silver Spring, MD (fully on-site during the first month, then transitions to hybrid)
Pay Rate: $20-25 per hour
Software Experience: MRI or Yardi experience is highly preferred
Target Start Date: Immediately
Responsibilities:
- Handle monthly invoices, about 50-100, ensuring they meet our company rules.
- Check invoices against purchase orders and receipts to confirm expenses.
- Verify invoices for proper approval and coding.
- Accurate data entry into our accounting system, focusing on MRI, or similar software.
- Sort out issues with vendors and colleagues.
- Help prepare AP reports and audits.
Requirements:
- 2 years of AP experience.
- MRI software familiarity is a plus; experience with Yardi or similar R/E software is a bonus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Can manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Some knowledge of accounting principles.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
