Key Responsibilities
• Reports to Director of Finance supporting the VP of Marketing. Provide financial support and guidance to Congo Brands Marketing Team. Lead budget and forecast process for Congo Brands Marketing expenses.
• Manage a team of 3 Financial Analysts responsible for Marketing spend budgets and forecasts including Advertising, Social Media, Influencer Marketing and Regional and National events. Develop and prepare periodic reporting packages and provide them to NA Planning Team.
• Prepare and manage marketing spending forecasts including accrual guidance for Accounting Team.Collaborate with Marketing Team to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Conduct financial analysis and evaluate the profitability of various programs and events. Partner with Marketing Team to prepare and provide insights on improving ROI of Marketing investment.
• Support VP of Marketing and Director of Finance in special projects and corporate initiatives.
• Lead, manage, and grow the Marketing Finance team while providing guidance, mentorship, and support.Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• 7 years of finance experience (investment banking, financial consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, etc.)including 2 years in management roles.
• CPG Industry experience preferred; ideally, with understanding of internet focused marketing programs and drivers of KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, and financial reporting including GAAP accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Oracle NetSuite experience preferred
