Derby City Gaming is owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) (CDI). CDI broke ground December 20, 2017, on its $60 million state-of-the-art historical racing machine (HRM) facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Derby City Gaming will create an estimated 400 new jobs for the local economy, including 250 construction jobs and 150 full- and part-time jobs to operate and manage the facility.
