About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Payer Sales to play a pivotal role in driving the strategic and sustainable growth of its virtual-first healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and expansion of the Payer Sales strategy and pipeline, with a focus on engaging national and regional payers. This is a results-driven position that requires a candidate with a proven track record in complex sales, particularly within the healthcare industry. The role demands a strategic and creative approach, as well as the ability to act as a value-added partner in a consultative sales process.Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Payer Sales include driving new sales with target payer accounts, understanding and leveraging the network synergy between payers, employers, and other influencers, and working cross-functionally to identify and solve gaps in the sales process. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years' of relevant sales experience, preferably in earlier-stage virtual or digital health companies, and a strong background in cultivating collaborative relationships across various key payer functions. Experience with complex contract negotiations, superb project management, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role demands a team player with excellent people skills, a willingness to take smart risks, and the ability to maintain a positive outlook in the face of challenges.
