Confidential is Hiring an Optometry Office Manager Near Arlington, VA

We are a private medically oriented optometric practice searching for an office manager for our Northern Virginia locations. Previous experience as an office manager or office administrator within the optical/optometry/ophthalmology field is required.

The office manager role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Office manager duties and responsibilities include coordinating staff schedules, making office supply arrangements, welcoming patients and providing general administrative support to our employees. Ultimately, the office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures, day-to-day operations and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilitie

  • Coordinates staff schedule on a weekly basis
  • Researches and resolves patient issues and/or concerns
  • Oversees all financial aspects of the office in regards to patient accounts, including accounts payable and receivable; settles day sheet and makes deposits daily; prepares and sends billing statements to patients monthly
  • Responsible for supporting all departments within the practice (reception, clinical and optical)
  • Works with the human resources/management team in the hiring process
  • Responsible for all office staff training and productivity goals including patient flow and the patient experience
  • Works with management team to ensure employee performance appraisals are performed on an annual basis

Skills & Qualifications

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of EMR System; preferably Eyefinity/EHR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
