This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Generalist at a luxury Hotel in New York City.

Qualifications

• ·Associate or Bachelor's degree
• 2 Years of Human Resources experience, in hospitality preferred
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience in all HR processes: selection and employment, employee relations, benefits administration, employment law, and leave

Responsibilities

• Support the overall operation of the Human Resource Department in daily administrative functions
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
• Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees
• Communicate hotel job openings internally and externally
• Assist with employment process including applicant screening, interviewing, determining eligibility for employment, conducting reference checks, and verifying paperwork for accuracy
• Assist with paperwork for new hires, terminations, payroll action forms and employee status changes
• Assist with New Hire Orientation and other trainings
• Assist with OSHA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment Claims
• Assist with Associate Employee Relations and Recognition Events
• Maintain employee bulletin boards and assist with Employee Newsletter
• Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files
• HRIS Management
• Administer and process leave requests
• Assist with special hotel projects as needed
