We are in search of an experienced and knowledgeable Purchasing/Expediating Coordinator with at least 5 years of experience. Must have construction and supervisory experience.
Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel, and have extensive knowledge of Industrial Construction (General Contractor)-for example must know the process, what tools, materials, equipment will be needed for a jobsite. Have knowledge and understanding of accounting documentation.
Expediating and Warehousing Material:
Requires experience and knowledge to schedule delivery of material, tools, or equipment and routing driver in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Must be able to effectively oversee the rental of tools/equipment, which may include negotiating prices with vendors. Is responsible for the warehousing and inventory of materials, equipment, and tools.
Must have hands on experience in the operation of all or some of the follow types of equipment: backhoe, skid steers, man lift, etc.
Maintenance/Upkeep of Equipment and tools:
Shall be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment. Should have experience or knowledge in basic repair of tools or equipment. Must maintain a thorough record in order to track tools and equipment. Is responsible for keeping and maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs on tools and equipment. As needed, will be responsible for the purchasing of tools and equipment. Will be responsible for the storage of all tools, equipment, and materials as they come back from the field. Shall establish and maintain an inventory list of the tools and supplies in the toolroom and maintain an accurate and up to date list. Ensure that there are sufficient quantities of supplies on hand.
Facilities Maintenance:
Is responsible for the maintenance of buildings an yard. Shall oversee and handle the dumpster and recycling program.
Supervisory Duties:
Supervises and oversees the duties of the Material Delivery Driver. Will ensure that the driver performs their duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Have knowledge and experience to be able to prioritize the daily work schedule for the themselves and the driver.
Additional Qualifications:
Must have a proven track record of completing work on‐time & on budget Must demonstrate leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others. Excellent verbal and written skills are required. Shall be able to work and communicate effectively and efficiently with others inside and outside of the company.
The ability to work in a quickly changing team environment is required.Overview:

Duties:
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment needed for construction crews on jobsites.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure competitive pricing
- - Work closely with Project Managers and Foremen to understand their needs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, supply chain management, and procurement management
- Ability to procure materials, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and co-workers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
-Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work unsupervised at times, without guidance.
- Problem-solving skills to address any issues or delays in the procurement process. Must have the ability to make sound decisions on their own.
