Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail, is looking to add a qualified CONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR to our team. The main focus for this position will be interdepartmental coordination of capital projects, construction pay application and vendor invoice processing, management of construction department project file database, project close-out, and executive report distribution. Responsibilities

• Contract administration including pay applications, partial and final lien waiver tracking, change orders, closeout packages and project invoices
• Interdepartmental coordination
• Coordination with Accounts Payable department to insure timely payment of project invoices.
• Manage administrative tasks as required for project management team.
• Maintain construction plan library/project close-out binders/FTP Site
• Prepare agenda for the monthly construction meetings
• Administrative assistance during project bid period

Qualifications

• Construction background is required.
• Knowledge of construction documents, such as construction plans/specs, RFI’s, change orders, pay applications, etc. is required.
• Knowledge of construction procedures and project life cycle is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Organized and Detail Oriented
• Self-Motivated
• Problem Solving Skills
• Great Communication Skills
