Part time Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist
Located inside the northeast corner of Atlanta's perimeter, our growing business seeks an exceptionally detail-oriented professional for our Accounts Receivable (AR) position. This pivotal role, requiring up to 25 hours per week onsite, leverages a variety of software platforms to ensure the meticulous handling of our financial processes. While the nature of this position necessitates office presence, we offer notable flexibility in scheduling, allowing for personalization of start and end times each day worked. Applicants are expected to have demonstrable experience with QuickBooks, highlighting their ability to adeptly navigate business financial software.
As the backbone of our cash flow management, the AR Specialist will be entrusted with invoicing activities across a spectrum of short and long-term projects, ensuring accurate financial documentation and timely revenue collection. This role also encompasses the initiation of collections protocols as needed, safeguarding the company's financial health. Ideal candidates will bring a proactive and professional approach to financial management, contributing significantly to our operational excellence and growth. Responsibilities
- Gather and verify appropriate documentation prior to invoicing
- Create detailed invoices following strip operation procedures
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable
- Support other finance, sales and warehouse team members as needed
Required skills and qualifications
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences; confidentiality is crucial
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Strong mathematical skills
- Keyboard/typing speed of 55 wpm is a minimum
- Superb time management and detail orientation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- 3 continuous years of experience in accounts receivable role
Hourly rate: $28/hr
