Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Financial Stability LOCATION: Main Office, Santa Rosa

REPORTS TO: Director of Community Services HOURS: Full-Time

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

The Intake and Stabilization Manager, under the supervision of the Director of Community Services, will oversee the management of disaster response and financial coaching and its supporting teams. Oversight will include program compliance, continued improvement and development of policies and procedures, program sustainability through fundraising and development goals, identification of funding sources, grant writing and outreach strategies. The Intake and Stabilization Manager manages staff in the day to day performance of their jobs. The Intake and Stabilization Manager will ensure that the department objectives are met, adheres to approved budgets and meets and contributes to the agency’s mission and goals. This position holds authority for department personnel actions and will have extensive knowledge of department processes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Accomplishes strategic objectives by overseeing program activities.
  • Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising job results and reviewing job contributions
  • Ensures adequate staffing and oversees recruitment, interviewing and selection process in cooperation with HR department
  • Meets financial objectives by preparing an annual budget with coordination from the Fiscal department and overseeing program expenditures
  • Meets program objectives by overseeing services and data quality
  • Ensures compliance with stated program objectives and funder reporting requirements
  • Plans and reviews compensation actions and enforces policies and procedures
  • Ensures the completion and maintenance of required reporting and data collection including overseeing spreadsheets, procedure manuals and policies in coordination with the content specialists
  • Oversees and contributes to program sustainability through funding acquisitions and grant writing 
  • Assist their supervising Director with program and agency budget planning
  • Analyze program data from continued program improvement and assists with overall agency data requirements with the Director of Services 
  • Oversee and maintain documentation of program staff reviews, disciplinary actions and regular team communications
  • May be responsible for special community events to publicize the program and agency
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

IN ADDITION TO ABOVE: 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs (i.e., Excel , Word and Powerpoint) and Internet usage.
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Google Documents and Google Drive
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Previous non-profit or government agency experience preferred.
  • 3 years of disaster response and/or financial coaching experience
  • 2 years of management experience
  • Strong organization, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to culturally diverse groups and persons from low-income families.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Same as above.
