Executive Chef | The Ashi HotelThe Ashi Hotel, a new boutique hotel and event space, is seeking a creative and ambitious Executive Chef to join the team. Our ideal candidate has proven experience in both in boutique settings and high-volume catering environments, and an ability to leverage their keen eye for detail and quality to consistently deliver top notch dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities:Responsible for the total operation of the banquet kitchen while providing a high standard of food preparation and presentation.Prepare and present menu approved food items in a tasteful and appealing mannerCreate new menus, design corresponding recipes and oversee the preparation of those recipes.Track kitchens inventory, food cost, labor cost, place orders, monitor equipment maintenance and condition.Ensure that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the kitchen at all times.Establish controls that assure food costs are within budget.Work closely with the Director of Catering in the planning of events.Qualifications & Experience5 years of experience in high volume catering role.Ability to cook multiple cuisines with Indian cuisines experience required. Self-starter who is passionate about food and the customer experience.Steady demeanor with the ability to handle any situation diplomatically.Proven ability to motivate a team and interface with all levels of management. Disclaimer: The individual selected for the role of Executive Chef will be employed by The Ashi Hotel, and will have no affiliation with Columbia Hospitality, who is serving as a third-party agent leading the search through Columbia Executive Search.
