Description
This role would work in a hybrid capacity from our office in Fairfax, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct opportunity research by utilizing Deltek GovWin, Agency-specific procurement forecasts and websites, FPDS, and other common research tools.
- Research and analyze historical company data to support proposal efforts.
- Support the identification and qualification of Federal government opportunities aligned to the company’s services and solution offerings.
- Continually update opportunity records in the company’s Salesforce opportunity pipeline.
- Support the content development in response to RFIs and Sources Sought.
- Monitor company’s GSA IT Schedule contract via GSA eBuy website.
- Support solicitation proposal responses by developing compliance matrix, help coordinating content development, engaging in color reviews, and proposal production.
- Coordinates activities and participates in fact -finding and proposal planning meetings.
- Support company marketing material development and updates in support of outreach events such as industry days, opportunity teaming, and general networking.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 2 years related work experience.
- Basic understanding or the ability to learn Federal government procurement processes.
- Experience writing (especially responses to RFIs, Sources Sought, and White Papers).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled at performing in-depth research, analysis, and data summarization.
- Curious and driven to investigate and increase understanding of specific organization, domain, activity, opportunity pursuit, etc.
- CMMI audit experience would be a plus
- Basic understanding or the ability to learn Business Development and sales research tools (e.g., GovWin, FPDS, SAM, USA Spending, IT Dashboard, Salesforce).
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and providing concise written analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively and independently to accomplish work assignments.
- Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen.
- Continuous verbal and written communication with others to exchange information.
- Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Comprehension - Must continuously be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
- Organization - Must continuously be able to gather and classify information.
- Reasoning and Decision Making - Must continuously use logic to analyze and interpret information and prioritize.
