Job Description:
As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions within the Diocese of Fort Worth. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting orientations and exit interviews.
  • Utilizing HRIS systems to automate and digitize HR processes, ensuring accurate and efficient management of employee records and data.
  • Assisting with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of our employees in advancing the mission of the local Church.
  • Providing guidance and support to employees and supervisors on HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, and best practices to enable their ministries to flourish.
  • Assisting with employee relations issues and conflict resolution, including conducting investigations as needed.
  • Supporting HR initiatives and projects, such as implementing new HR technologies, training and development programs, and employee engagement activities designed to advance the mission of the Church.
  • Keeping abreast of HR technologies and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Dedicate yourself to the service of our faith community through the compassionate and empathetic support of our employees.
  • Uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody its principles.
  • Recognize the inherent dignity of every individual and strive to create a workplace environment that fosters respect, dignity, and mutual understanding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification preferred).
  • Proven experience in HR roles, with a solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and laws.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, with a strong ability to leverage technology to automate and digitize HR processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Fort Worth.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • This role primarily operates in a professional office environment.
  • The position may require occasional travel within the Diocese of Fort Worth for meetings, training sessions, or other events.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
