Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This is a vital role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Duties:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accuracy of information
- Review and verify invoices for proper coding, approvals, and documentation
- Prepare and process payments to vendors using various payment methods
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using software (e.g. Quickbooks, Excel, & Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Part time position, with option to be full time. Looking for help with answering phones & scheduling.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
