Briggs Industrial Solutions is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Dallas, TX

POSITION PURPOSE:The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting a broad range of financial support to the growth and effective management of the company. This role will assist in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all company departments. The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, attention to detail, and provide accurate, high quality financial analyses. Ensures Briggs Equipment standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Provide clear, accurate, and timely monthly performance analysis and reporting by creating requested reports as well as suggesting reports that would enhance decision making for the business units and company2. Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to design and implement dashboards and other aids to facilitate user-generated reports3. Conduct analyses and reporting for corporate functions including monthly financial analysis, reforecasting, variance analysis, pipeline analysis, and graphical summaries of business unit financial performance4. Coordinate financial and operating metrics across the company to communicate performance results quickly and effectively5. Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager in planning and forecasting as part of annual corporate-wide budgeting processes6. Perform periodic and ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations, and reports as needed from the company’s senior management or to satisfy external client and audit requests7. Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations8. Perform other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Basic Knowledge & Competencies:• High proficiency in MS excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, tables and graph production), MS PowerPoint, and Power BI• Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work under tight deadlines• Strong attention to details and high level of accuracy • Ability to influence and work in a support role• Ability to work independently without close supervision• Strong analytical skills, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills Previous Experience/Education:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required• 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Working conditions are normal for an office environment • Frequent use of hands to manipulate the keyboard, telephone, files and other equipment• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
