BridgePoint Associates is Hiring a Communications Manager Near Washington, DC
- Manage a communications program to increase distribution and awareness of the organization's policy research through media relations, digital media, direct engagement, events, and webinars
- Increase media coverage, publicize research reports, craft press releases and op-eds, and cultivate relationships with reporters
- Collaborate with internal partners on communications initiatives relating to events, webinars, and media collateral
- Edit and proof various materials
- Analyze media coverage and communications metrics to maximize performance
- Draft social media posts
- Coach Policy Analysts on press interactions
- Approximately 2 years relevant media relations, communications, or public affairs experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree a plus
- Ability to transform highly technical work into easily consumable publications
- Track record of pitching policy research to reporters
- Experience with Cision, Meltwater, or Critical Mention
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of public policy and academic interest or professional experience in tech policy
- Knowledge of technology publications a big plus
