We are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team at Talkishco in Washington D.C. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's internal and external communications strategies. You will utilize your creativity to manage our website, content development, media relations, public relations, press releases, and social media campaigns.

Compensation:

$61,500

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts, media outlets, and other industry partners.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in media coverage and public opinion to measure the impact of the organization’s communications.
  • Oversee the production of communication materials, such as press releases, newsletters, website content, and other promotional materials.
  • Craft effective messaging for campaigns and strategies that will drive positive awareness of the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and execute communications strategies.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and ability to convey brand messaging effectively
  • Proficient in using content management systems and social media management tools
  • Solid knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
