Lou’s Italian Specialties opened its doors in Denver’s Cole neighborhood in December 2018 and has received overwhelming praise from the community. The restaurant has earned a consistent place on Eater Denver’s “Hot List” since it opened, and was included in 5280 Magazine’s list of the best Italian restaurants in Denver. Lou’s is an old-world style Italian delicatessen and marketplace, offering traditional deli-style to-go service for its extensive menu featuring hot and cold subs, house-made pasta, fresh mozzarella made daily, soups, salads, and seasonally inspired dishes, as well as homemade Italian sausages and several authentic Italian pastries. Additionally, Lou’s sells a curated selection of imported and domestic old-fashioned Italian grocery store items, such as cold-pressed olive oils, aged Balsamic vinegar, organic San Marzano tomatoes, and hard-to-find pasta cuts.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hot Line Cook to join our dynamic team at Lou’s Italian Specialties in our open kitchen. As a key member of our culinary hospitality team, you will not only be responsible for preparing delicious authentic Italian dishes but you will also be expected to engage with our customers, answer their questions about the food, provide samples, take orders, provide assistance with online orders, and even deliver food to customers when needed. This position requires someone who is skilled in both culinary arts and customer service, with a strong desire to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a high volume and fast paced position that requires someone who has the right energy to keep up while maintaining the high quality standards of our food.
